Hey, I’m Ava
I first fell in love with acupuncture when I was in college, struggling with anxiety. Not only did it help my anxiety, but I recognized that my well-being improved in various other surprising ways as well. My excitement and curiosity about this remarkable modality led me to earn my Master’s in Acupuncture from the Maryland University of Integrative Health.
My treatment style is infused with and inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine, Five Element Acupuncture, and Japanese Channel Theory. It is informed by the knowledge that we are part of Nature and that our bodies, minds, and spirits are inextricably connected. My primary goal is to get to know you, help you to feel better, and provide you with support, knowledge, and tools to maintain your wellness.
I believe when we feel better, we are better people and consequently better family and community members.
It is my honor to work as a Licensed Acupuncturist and share this incredible medicine. I hope to meet you soon.
I promise to follow the way of the great physician. I will strive to live in harmony with nature and teach my patients to do the same. I will stay calm, and completely committed when treating disease. I will not give way to personal wishes and desires, but above all else hold and nurture a deep feeling of compassion. I will be devoted to the task of saving the sacred spark of life in every creature that still carries it. I will strive to maintain a clear mind, and am willing to hold myself to the highest of standards. It will be my duty to diagnose sufferings and treat disease. I will not be boastful about my skills, nor driven by greed for material things. Above all, I will keep an open heart. I will receive great happiness as a reward, without asking for anything in return.
